Game releases the video for his single Martians vs Goblins featuring Tyler The Creator and Lil Wayne. The video is pretty much what I expected it would be, interesting and unique. What is interesting in the video is that Game is wearing some white contacts ala Hopsin. Only thing that was missing from the video was an appearance from Tunechi.

The Weeknd releases the last mixtape in his trilogy, Echoes of Silence. This mixtape has a darker and more intimate feel then Thursday. The previous mixtape, Thursday was probably the most upbeat of the trilogy. Echoes of Silence was definitely a good ending to this series of mixtapes. From when Abel first released House of Balloons, he changed the R&B scene(actually not changed, revitalized). Now we wait till The Weeknd will drop an actual album. Asher Roth's much anticipated mixtape, Pabst & Jazz is finally here. I'm a fan of Asher's work, his debut album had a couple nice tracks but wasn't what it could've been. Seared Foie Gras was interesting too but still not amazing. Now his latest mixtape, shows his growth, improvement and a return to his roots. This is probably my favorite work of his so far. Drake releases the video for The Motto, a bonus track from Take Care. This track is actually the remix; the original only had a verse from Tunechi. Drake pays tribute to West Coast MC Mac Dre, whose mother makes a cameo at the beginning of the video. For any of you who follow style/fashion, check out Drake's North Face x Supreme jacket. Young Jeezy checks in to Power 99 in Philly to sit down with Cosmic Kev. He explains the situation on the delay of TM103, the true meaning of the “I Do” record, working with Jill Scott, “OJ” with Kiss and Fab and more. The most interesting segment of the interview to me is when Kev mentions Jeezy has about 6 tracks off the album that can be singles, only time will tell if the album is that good.

Sway got Common to let loose his feelings on the song after Drake allegedly responded to him at Power 106?s Cali Christmas Concert. he says: “the verse is about me, but then when you hear some of the stuff on the chorus it’s like you can’t help but think about dude I guess.” I think it would be hilarious if this went on, but Common really sounds serious about this... I agree on his explanation about KRS-One/Nas/Jay/Wayne/MC’ing.
